OUR INGREDIENTS

Niacinamide

Refines pores, calms redness, and strengthens the barrier

Refines

Visibly minimizes pore appearance by regulating sebum production.

Balances

Controls oil production without stripping moisture from the skin.

Strengthens

Boosts ceramide synthesis to reinforce the skin barrier from within.

What it is

Niacinamide (Vitamin B3) is a water-soluble vitamin that plays a central role in cellular energy metabolism. In skincare, it is one of the most versatile and well-studied actives — effective across skin types and compatible with virtually every other ingredient.

How it works

Niacinamide increases the production of ceramides and other intercellular lipids in the stratum corneum, directly strengthening the skin barrier. It also inhibits melanosome transfer from melanocytes to keratinocytes, which reduces hyperpigmentation over time. Its anti-inflammatory properties calm redness and irritation, while its sebum-regulating effect helps minimize pore appearance.

Niacinamide in Our Formulations

Most actives reinforce the barrier from outside — niacinamide serum does it from within. As a proven ceramide booster, vitamin B3 skincare tells your skin to produce more of its own ceramides, fatty acids, and cholesterol. That’s why niacinamide for pores works differently than stripping treatments: instead of drying out oil, this oil control serum regulates sebum production while strengthening the barrier structure. Clinical studies show niacinamide redness reduction within weeks, and niacinamide hyperpigmentation fading over 8-12 weeks of consistent use. As a barrier repair vitamin B3, it complements every other active in our line. Combined with Alpha Arbutin for additional pigmentation control, Vitamin C for antioxidant brightening, and Hyaluronic Acid for deep hydration — all built on the same Ceramide 3 foundation. See how Panthenol accelerates the repair process.

Why we chose it

Niacinamide is the rare active that actually increases your skin’s own ceramide production. Instead of adding ceramides from outside, it tells your skin to make more. Combined with Ceramide 3 in our formulation, you get both: external barrier reinforcement and internal ceramide synthesis. That’s why Niacinamide is at the core of The Serum N.
